So, it looks like I can now load photos....so let me backtrack to La Paz

Went to breakfast at Corazon Cafe and were disappointed to see that Jorge no longer works there...he was a waiter who did amazing caricatures of the guests.

Mexico City May 20

Murphy was rampant as we started our trip: Les forgot his wallet and we had to head back.....then my new Mexican bank debit card refused to work so I had to scramble into a bank in La Paz as soon as we pulled into town. After that, life got better.....nothing like settling into a hotel with few people in it to make life better.






Met with Julian - college scholarship recipient.  Met Mary, the newest college scholarship recipient who got a laptop (thanks Mary!!!) and the cash to pay her school tuition in her last year majoring in Biochemistry  (thanks Stan)  !!!!  and notebooks, pens and pencils were given to all the teens in preparation for August new semester.

Here we are now in Mexico City -  the buildings are beautiful, breakfast at the tile sanborns restaurant was fun as always and now we are packing and perhaps heading over to the Frida Kahlo Museum before we head to the airport....we have an overnight flight so we can dream of all the great places and people we will see.

In one week, we will be going to Europe!  The suitcases are packed, Mary and George have agreed to watch the house; the B&B; and Rex,  my classes for my substitutes are all worked out and I have been reading up on Spain. ONE WHOLE WEEK IN SPAIN!  We land in Valencia and then head to Madrid whenever we feel like it.  Museo del Prado.   Flamenco Show.  Palacios and Parques. Tapas and Beer.  Make that Tapas and Sangria.  I am dreaming dreaming dreaming of all the things we will do!


but first let me backtrack.  the trip starts with la paz next Monday.  mexico city next Tuesday. and London/somerset next Wednesday.  I am so looking forward to Baltonsborough  and Arthur and Genesta's warm hospitality ....the green valleys everywhere.....flowers.....the Aga.....cows and fresh milk.....and the British accent sophisticating every word spoken -after all:this is the land of Shakespeare!

Three months of bliss but the bliss has actually already started with the dreaming and the reading and the planning begun in the last couple weeks......
